Coach Cee Cee’s Sweet Oil Face and Body Scrub
Ingredients: Organic Sugar, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil
A very easy scrub with only two ingredients!
The cane sugar and extra virgin olive oil was purchased from Aldi (Grocery Store). Simply Nature Organic Brand. I keep the sugar in the refrigerator (must bring to room temperature) before making the scrub. I keep the olive oil in my cool dark pantry.
How to:
Place some sugar in a small bowl then add oil until it the sugar but not too oily.
Mix with a spoon until in has the consistency of a a paste. (Not runny at all).
Then use your clean hands to gently put all over your face and rub all over your body. To place on your face stand at the bathroom sink using the mirror to watch your application process.
To put all over your body do this in the bath tub or if in the shower…it is VERY IMPORTANT to place a towel down to stand on as this can make the tub or shower surface extremely slippery!!!!! BE VERY CAREFUL to avoid injury!!! When using this scrub.
I do this about twice a month. Using a one white cotton wash cloth (No dye) for my face and one for my body. I leave the scrub on my face while taking a bath.
After use, if you have any leftover place in a small container and put in the refrigerator for no more than 30 to 45 days. I like to make it fresh and usually only make enough for one application. If you have stored a little scrub for a second use, bring to room temperature before using it applies when brought to room temperature.
Why Sugar in the Scrub?
Small sugar granules are generally gentler than salt, which can cause microscopic tears in the skin; because of sugar’s natural humectants properties, these scrubs are more hydrating than salt scrubs, which can strip skin of natural oils.
Why Olive Oil in the scrub?
Extra virgin olive oil is full of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. It is great for dry, oily, and aging skin alike. It can help treat acne, eczema, and psoriasis. It can give skin a healthy glow, and make it appear more smooth and youthful.
And, Yes! Always Organic! Meaning free of synthetic additives like pesticides, chemical fertilizers, and dyes, and must not be processed using industrial solvents,
I began using this mixture over 30 years before it was popular to play with your food:). I just mixed it up one day as I was thinking, if I can put it in me….I can surely put it on me 🙂 and my scrub was created!
